Summer Programs

Registration for Summer 2024 will open March 1st

If traveling is not an option, click HERE to look at our programs that can come to you.

Various programs are offered during the summer months at the Wildlife Center. The Walk on the Wild Side program is a 1 1/2 hour morning program that includes a rotation at the Wildlife Center’s newest addition: The Waterfowl Pond. It consists of three 30-minute rotations and is a great choice for all age groups.  The Wild about Summer program is a one-hour program designed for all ages from Pre-K to adult groups and organizations. The Summer Wildlife Connections- Past, Present & Future program is strictly for adults and is presented by Steve Hein, the Wildlife Center’s Executive Director. All programs are only offered during June, July and August.

All programs must be reserved at least a week in advance. Indoor accommodations MAY be available in the event of inclement weather. Picnics & sack lunches are welcome. Use of the outdoor Ecology Pavilion for your lunch is available at no extra charge but must be reserved when you register.  If you would like to have your lunch catered by Georgia Southern Catering please contact them directly at 912-478-8681.

It is very important that you arrive on time. Be aware that the preferred time of your program is your start time, not your arrival time. We ask that you arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the time you have chosen to start your program.  If you are late it may be necessary to eliminate a rotation or shorten the time of your program to accommodate your trip back and our staffing schedules.  Please take your travel time into consideration when scheduling your program.
