Peer Tutoring

Academic Success Center offers free peer tutoring services for Georgia Southern students, both virtually and in-person. While peer tutoring is provided for a variety of courses, it is not available in every subject area.
The Academic Success Center offers peer tutoring in core Math, Science, and Humanities courses. To assist in navigating where to find subject-specific help, please refer to the details provided in the links, below.
Please Note: To ensure the maximum number of students can receive tutoring assistance, students may schedule up to (but no more than) four tutoring appointments per week.

Peer Tutoring with Campus Partners
The Engineering Learning Center (ELC) serves as a place where students can get free tutoring from their peers for several challenging engineering courses. It is also a place to study, meet other engineering students, meet faculty, meet for study groups and build long-lasting friendships. Visit our website here.
The Department of Enterprise Systems and Analytics is offering free virtual tutoring for CISM students. Sessions will be offered as follows: Mondays- CISM 2530 & 3131, Wednesdays- CISM 3135, 3333, and 4237. Fridays BUSA 3131 and 3132. All sessions will be from 9:00 am -2:00 pm. The Science & Mathematics Academic Resource & Tutorial (SMART) Center offers free tutoring to the Armstrong campus by student tutors in Anatomy and Physiology, Biology, General and Organic Chemistry, Physics, Statistics, and Mathematics. In-person tutoring sessions are available on a drop-in basis (Science Center room 132). Appointments for virtual tutoring can be made through the EAB Navigate system. The Department of Mathematical Sciences MASTER lab tutoring center offers free tutoring core Mathematics and Statistics courses. Appointments for in-person and virtual tutoring should be made through the EAB Navigate system. More information can be found on our website.
Student-Athlete Services has free tutoring available for Georgia Southern student-athletes through virtual platforms in Fall 2020. A limited number of in-person appointments are also available. Social distancing and masks will be required during these sessions. While tutoring is provided for a variety of courses, tutoring is not available in every subject area. Student-Athlete Services offers tutoring in core Math, Science, Humanities, and select Psychology and Sociology courses. To request an appointment, please reach out to your Athletic Academic Advisor
Virtual tutoring will be hosted via Google Meet. Prior to attending a tutoring session, participants will be provided with a link to join each tutoring session from the TRiO Armstrong staff.
The University Writing Center has free tutoring available for all Georgia Southern students both in-person and through our online platform. Visit the Writing Center webpage here for details. In-person appointments are available on both campuses on a drop-in basis. The Writing Center works with writing projects from all courses at all levels as well as application essays, posters, and other academic genres.
