Amanda Rickard

Clinical Psychologist

Dr. Rickard leads the clinical team as the Clinical Psychologist at the RCLD. Dr. Rickard received her Doctor of Psychology degree in Clinical Psychology from Georgia Southern University, and she previously served as a Counseling Psychologist at the Georgia Southern University Counseling Center. Prior to completing her doctorate, she gained twelve years of experience as a specialist-level school psychologist for Greenville County Schools in South Carolina and the RCLD. She is a nationally certified school psychologist through the National Association of School Psychologists (NASP), and she holds a Specialist in Psychology (School Psychology) degree and a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Eastern Kentucky University. Her interests include cognitive processes related to writing skills, disproportionality and underrepresentation in disability service provision, and challenges experienced by sexual minorities residing in rural areas.
