Medical Professions Advising

The Office of Medical Professions Advisement provides coaching and guidance for qualified students navigating future careers in the following health professions:

In order to add one of our pre-professional programs to their record, students are required to attend an hour-long orientation information session. Our sessions are held the second week of each semester, and students are encouraged to email our department (prehealth@georgiasouthern.edu) at any time to request information on joining our programs and these sessions.

We strive to provide exceptional services to our students, inspiring them to become informed decision-makers and successful candidates for graduate health professional programs. The mission of the office reflects the University’s: to cultivate a culture of engagement that bridges theory with practice, extends the learning environment beyond the classroom, and promotes student growth and life success.

In addition to providing advisement and coaching services, Pre-professional Professions Advisement staff will coordinate an exciting schedule of events, including information meetings, development workshops and information sessions with representatives from health professions schools. These sessions complement and reinforce information students gain through advisement appointments, and assist students in broadening their perspective of the health professions.
