Training in Public Policy and Administration is appropriate for students with a broad range of career interests. Pre-Law students will benefit from coursework in these areas in a variety of ways.
The Minor in Public Policy provides students with an understanding of the essential elements involved in the public policy process as well as the analytical skills needed to make informed judgments about policy-making and implementation.
The advanced training offered through the Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree program prepares students for professional management and leadership roles throughout government and the nonprofit sector. Since many pre- and post-law school paths lead to a career in government or the nonprofits, education and training in these areas is advantageous.
