January 4, 2022: Start of Spring Term

Dear Colleagues,

I hope you enjoyed your winter break. As we start the Spring 2022 term, please remember we are still operating in a COVID-19 environment. Faculty should provide all due consideration to students who test positive and submit cases through CARES. When the term starts, we may see a spike in students who need to quarantine. They must be afforded the ability to continue their education. Please provide them the ability to zoom your course if possible. Otherwise, please work with them to make up the missed work and engage them to allow for continuity of instruction.

I know this is challenging, and I know the hard work you put in to pull this off. Thank you for all you do to keep everyone safe and healthy. I am incredibly grateful for your dedication to our students’ success.
