Prospective Students

Welcome to Georgia Southern University!

No matter where you are joining us from, at Georgia Southern University you’ll find a world of opportunity to explore. Whether you’ll be furthering your education as a transfer student or a first time freshman, the Office of International Programs and Services can assist you with applying, visa documentation, orientation, and making the adjustment to life in the United States.

Georgia Southern’s population of 20,500+ students, and hundreds of programs of study leading to bachelor’s, master’s, specialist, and doctoral degrees means there are opportunities to suit a variety of interests.  With small class sizes and outstanding professors dedicated to teaching, the focus is always on YOU, the student.  Outside of the classroom you’ll have the chance to be involved through on-campus employment, hundreds of student organizations, and a personal, friendly environment that provides the individualized attention you need to succeed. All of this is located on a beautiful, safe, and traditional campus that also houses cutting edge technology, laboratories, and dedication to research.

The Office of International Programs and Services currently assists students from over 100 countries who call Georgia Southern University their home.  We can help you learn more about the University, the visa process and preparing to arrive, and making the cultural transition for living and learning in the U.S.  Our staff are here to answer your questions and provide you with the support you need prior to and during your stay at Georgia Southern.
