Travel the World in 80 Minutes!

Wednesday October 3rd marked OIPS’s second event of “Travel the World in 80 Minutes”. The event developed in Spring 2018 on the Armstrong campus.

During the event, 4 countries from various parts of the globe are represented with booths, activities, food, clothing, music, and presentations to help educate students about the countries’ cultures.

This year, Romania, China, Moldova, and Egypt were represented with various faculty and staff helping out. Every 15 minutes, the representatives of the country would speak to the attendees about diverse topics. This year’s presentations covered many subjects including the importance of helping Tigers and Sharks (China) to watching music videos that encompassed the country’s culture (Moldova).

After visiting the tables and listening to presentations, students also had opportunities to try authentic snacks and food provided by OIPS.
