2018 Guest Speaker Candace Doby Talks on Traveling Abroad
On September 12, 2018, guest speaker Candace Doby visited Georgia Southern’s campuses in Statesboro and Savannah to talk about “Travel, Being Black and Doubt” and her experiences in traveling the world.
Sponsored by the Office of International Student Programs and Services (IPS) and the Office of Multicultural Affairs (OMA), Candace took time to talk encourage students about studying abroad and traveling, even if it meant overcoming fear and doubt. She spoke on her adventures while traveling independently to over 17 countries (and growing!) and how her identity affected her journeys and experiences.
