Nexus Degrees

A Nexus Degree is a 64-hour program  that provides an opportunity to focus on skills and knowledge related to a major industry or field in response to talent demand with employers. A stackable credential, students will complete core requirements, and then have 18-hours of coursework that focuses on current high-demand career fields in Georgia.

Nexus Degrees will include an apprenticeship or clinical aspect for hands-on learning and development as well as experiential learning opportunities throughout the coursework to ensure graduates are career ready upon completion of the degree.

This practice-based learning approach allows Georgia Southern to partner with regional companies to satisfy industry demands in the workforce as well provide students with real-world learning opportunities.
