College of Business Travels: Portugal – Business Abroad

Courses Titles and Credits:
Students have the opportunity to earn and must be enrolled in 3 credit hours to participate on this program during the December winter break.  Students can choose from either of the following:
Undergraduates: BUSA 3083 – Business Abroad: Portugal
Graduates: BUSA 7030 – Business Abroad: Graduates

Undergraduate students in the BBA program may use this course as a substitute for their BUSA 4131 requirement.  Other undergraduates may use this course as a free-elective.  MBA students may use this course as a substitute for their “international” requirement, BUSA 7130, and MAcc students may use this as an approved elective.

Undergraduate students should have a declared business major and at least 45 credit hours at the time of application, with a 2.5 GPA.  Graduate students should have graduate standing and permission of the Director of Graduate Programs for the College of Business.  All students should have no active disciplinary record with the institution.  All students must be fully admitted to the institution, and at least 18 years of age by the program departure date.

Dates of Program:
Travel: May 15-23, 2020
Student will enroll for credit and attend additional course meetings in the Spring 2019 term.

Program Cost:
Includes: All regional and local transportation; lodging for the duration of the program; breakfast everyday; several lunches and dinners; tour and entrance expenses; guest lectures; site visits to local companies and businesses; and insurance coverage.

Additional Costs: Tuition & fees for 3 credit hours of course enrollment, round-trip airfare to Portugal,  and additional meals/personal expenses not included in the program cost.

Program Application and $500.00 deposit payment: TBD
1st Program Payment of $1,341.50: TBD
2nd Program Payment of $1,341.50 and Insurance of $17.00: TBD

All payments should be made through the Georgia Southern Studies Abroad Marketplace webpage.

Refund information:
Once accepted to the program, all payments are non-refundable.
