Want to get involved in study abroad on campus? Here are a few ways!

-Complete the Request for Study Abroad Presentation Form to have a representative from the office of International Programs and Services come speak with your class, organization, or group more about study abroad at Georgia Southern University!

-Attend and courage student attendance our Annual Study Abroad Fairs. We have one in the Fall and one in the Spring. For our Fall Fair, we use ID swipe and can verify attendance if needed!

Leading a Study Abroad Trip

Deciding to teach on or develop and lead a short-term study abroad program is large commitment of time by faculty members.  It can, however, be a very rewarding experience for both faculty and their students.  These programs are designed to provide students with academic credit they can use toward their degree programs while facilitating experiential learning in an international environment.

The Office of International Programs & Services has designed a wide-range of guidelines, manuals, and forms that faculty can use and rely upon whether they are in the initial program development stage, or their program has been approved and they are preparing to lead students abroad.  Faculty from all colleges and academic departments are welcome to develop and submit proposals for short-term study abroad programs.

The OIPS is now accepting submission of proposals for the 2018-2019 academic year. All proposals for 2019 are due by August 15, 2018.  Faculty who would like assistance should contact Ms. Kristin R. Karam, Interim Director (
