Our Services

Whether you’re looking for course feedback mid-semester, assistance making sense of your course evaluations, a teaching consultation, technical training, Quality Matters information, or a colleague to observe your class, CTE has the resources to assist you. CTE consultants will meet with individuals, small groups, or departments to discuss teaching issues. A consultation can be a single meeting or a series of meetings dedicated to improving an aspect of teaching or to implementing a new pedagogical approach.


Feedback on Your Teaching

Classroom Observations Teaching Observations provide teachers with feedback on classroom practices and behaviors that affect student learning. It’s an excellent way to gauge how effective you are when trying new techniques, or to get an outside perspective on a perceived problem in your classroom. Read More…
 Online consultations Teaching Consultations to request a consultation if you want to discuss ways of improving your teaching, design, or re-design your course, implement new teaching strategies, brainstorm ideas for new activities and assignments, or address any other issues related to teaching. Read More…
MidTerm Feedback Mid-Term Feedback allows you to check the pulse of your classroom by gathering information about your course from your students. We can facilitate a student feedback session regarding a specific teaching strategy or, more generally, ask your students how well they are learning.  Read More…

Events and Programs

Workshops Workshops each semester, the Center for Teaching Excellence (CTE) offers a series of professional/personal development workshops to include technical training workshops for Folio and other teaching and learning technologies. The variety of workshops are designed to support faculty and Graduate Teaching Assistants in their growth as an instructors well as guide their professional development.
