Develop your skills in freehand sketching and annotation! Regular use of a sketchbook will improve your drawing skills and build your confidence.
Each class will begin with the description of a drawing technique and recommendations for sketchbook ideas. Various elements of drawing will be reviewed. Students will contribute to their sketchbooks during class and at home. This class is for all levels of artists interested in the creative process!
This class will meet on Fridays. The registration deadline is March 23, 2020. Contact hours: 12
An Alabama native, Raymond Gaddy received his MFA in painting from the University of Alabama. He has taught throughout the Southeast but recently settled at Georgia Southern University. Gaddy is the recipient of numerous grants and awards including the Pollock-Krasner Foundation and Joan Mitchell Foundation grants. His paintings and drawings have been exhibited in group and solo exhibitions across the United States and the United Kingdom, including the Exit Art Gallery, NY; Wake Forest University, NC; The Tampa Museum of Art, FL; The Attelboro Museum of Art, MA; the Holter Art Museum, MT; and the Art Center of Design in Pasadena, CA. His work is included in many public and private collections including the College of Notre Dame of Maryland; The Savannah College of Art and Design; and the Library of Congress.
