The Georgia Educational Research Association (GERA) is a state affiliate of the national organization, the American Educational Research Association (AERA), and one of Georgia’s most dynamic research organizations. GERA has approximately 150 members from universities and colleges; public and private schools; and state, local, public, and private educational agencies and institutions, covering disciplines in education, psychology, statistics, sociology, history, economics, philosophy, anthropology, and political science.
In concurrence with AERA, the theme of the GERA 2018 Annual Meeting is The Dreams, Possibilities, and Necessity of Public Education.
Two types of awards, Outstanding Student Research Award or Distinguished Paper Award, are available for competition for student researchers or emerging and experienced educational researchers. These awards are designed for those who submit proposals for a paper presentation. A contestant must attend and present their paper at the meeting to be eligible for an award.Distinguished Paper Award Outstanding Student Research
