12-Week SHRM Learning System

This 36-hour review course offers participants a broad overview of human resource (HR) information that includes management issues. In partnership with the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), this course covers eight behavioral and leadership competencies:
- leadership and navigation
- ethical practice
- business acumen
- relationship management
- critical evaluation
- global and cultural effectiveness
In addition to these eight units, the SHRM Learning System course reviews technical knowledge related to HR expertise which includes recruitment and selection, compensation, talent management, training and development, employee relations and engagement as well as compliance.
Meredith Truitt leads the Project Management Office for Cigna’s global talent management team. Prior, she was the director of total rewards for eviCore healthcare where she built their compensation, benefits, recognition and wellness programs from the ground up as well as establishing a People and Talent PMO.
Truitt has served on and led HR integration teams on nine mergers and acquisitions. Before this, she worked as an HR generalist. She has spent over 12 years in HR within the healthcare industry. Outside of work, she is active with the American Heart Association, serving on the Executive Council for the Low Country for four years as well as on several local economic development boards. Truitt resides in Hilton Head, South Carolina with her husband, son and daughter.
