Charleston Tea Plantation Tour (50+)

Coming Fall 2020!

Lifelong Learner Program!

Take a road trip with us to the Charleston Tea Plantation, the only tea plantation in North America. The Bigelow family invites visitors to the plantation to bring you the tea experience of your life!

On this excursion, you will be whisked away on a trolley tour of the grounds, where you will see hundreds of thousands of tea bushes stretching as far as the eye can see. You’ll be able to take an educational tour of the tea factory, witness tea in production and even receive a deluxe souvenir bag. You will have time to walk the grounds, take a selfie with Waddy the Frog, visit the gift shop and enjoy a delicious boxed lunch under the oaks—you’ll even get to visit the famous Angel Oak Tree, a must-see landmark of Johns Island.
