Amy Perry joined the Division of Continuing Education at Georgia Southern University in August of 2015. As an instructor in the English Language Program (ELP), Amy builds relationships with her students through class activities and learning. She is passionate about teaching international students English as a Second Language (ESL) in the hopes that they will move forward in their education with Georgia Southern University.

Amy Perry has lived throughout the South, and abroad in Japan and France. She received her BA in Sociology and French from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and her MA in International Relations from the International University of Japan. Prior to coming to Georgia Southern, Amy established a local ESL program for new immigrants living in the Statesboro area. Amy has been teaching ESL for 15 years and says teaching is a very rewarding job because she learns from her students every day. In her free time, she enjoys reading, baking, and doing creative activities with her family.

Amy is an active member of GATESOL (Georgia Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages).
