Office of the Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs
Georgia Southern University’s Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs serves as the Chief Academic Officer for the University, reporting to the University’s President. Working closely with the President and an extensive group of campus colleagues, he guides strategic planning and policy development, promotes campus-wide academic initiatives, and defines budgetary and development priorities.
The Provost oversees the following eight colleges along with the University Libraries:
Also within the Provost’s purview are the University Honors Program, First-Year Experience, the Center for Teaching Excellence, Continuing Education, the Office of Research, the Office of Global Engagement, and the Office of Institutional Assessment and Accreditation. The Provost oversees a budget of $110 million.
