The Academic Success Center is committed to furthering the mission of Georgia Southern University by providing a student-centered facility dedicated to promoting academic success among all students. To this end, the Center will:
Promote equal educational opportunities for all students admitted to Georgia Southern University
Aid students in developing the skills, strategies, and attitudes essential to the attainment of academic, career, and life goals
Enhance student retention
Additional areas of responsibility include:
Tutoring Center - The ASC includes the Tutoring Center, the University's primary peer-tutoring facility. The Tutoring Center is dedicated to the maintenance of a strong peer-tutoring network and to close working relationships with faculty.
Testing Office - The ASC includes the University Testing Office, which is responsible for administering all standardized tests offered by Georgia Southern University. The Testing Office's role is to provide, in a caring and concerned manner, a professional, centralized, and efficient office to meet varied testing and evaluation needs of the different University communities. This service and attitude are extended beyond the University to the varied constituencies of our service area.
The Academic Success Center is located on the second floor of Cone Hall across the pedestrium from Hollis and Rosenwald.
