College Reading/Study Skills
These tutors can help you study smarter. They help you to comprehend, organize, mark, and remember textbook material and to improve test taking strategies. They help you prepare for the reading section of the COMPASS, College Placement, and Regents' exams. They teach effective methods of taking notes, help increase reading speed and assist English as Second Language students with vocabulary, idiomatic language, and general comprehension. Students are encouraged to make appointments, but drop-ins are accepted if a tutor is available. You can call 478-0321, drop in, or e-mail us to make an appointment. Remember to mention your name, the subject with which you need help, and the time you want us to reserve for you.
