Pallet Challenge

Pallet Challenge

Form a team or go solo in this competition to up-cycle used pallets into
something new and creative! What you make is up to you: the only requirement is that it be composed of at least 75% used pallets.Untitled

Pick up your used pallets (up to 5 per team) if needed on September 24, 2016 at STEM Fest (Nessmith-Lane Bldg. at Georgia Southern, 10am – 4pm). Teams will have one week to transform their pallet(s) and must drop off the finished product by 10am October 1, 2016 on the Bulloch County Courthouse lawn at the Center for Sustainability’s Green Fest 2016 (taking place 9am-1pm). Entries will be judged by a celebrity panel, and winners will be announced at noon. Entry is free and prizes will be awarded.

To participate in this event, follow the Pallet Challenge Guidelines. Please register here and fill out this waiver for each member of your team (signed by a parent /or guardian if under 18). Fill out/drop off waivers at pallet pickup (9/24) or email scanned waivers to cfs@georgiasouthern.edu prior to pallet pickup. No pallets will be given out without a signed waiver for each member of the team.

This event is offered as a partnership between Georgia Southern’s Center for Sustainability, Business Innovation Group, and Institute for Interdisciplinary STEM Education.

Contact the Center for Sustainability for more information and download the promotional flyer for distribution.
