During Summer 2012, the HOPE scholarship will be awarded as it has been during the traditional fall and spring semesters. Students attending Georgia Southern University receive a HOPE award based on a per hour rate. Graduating high school seniors that start in the summer will receive a HOPE award based on a per hour rate.
Current university students who receive the Zell Miller Scholarship will continue to be awarded at the 100% tuition rate for summer (must have a 3.3 cumulative GPA at the end of Spring semester). Graduating high school seniors, who are Zell Scholarship eligible and have the required test score, will receive 100% tuition for summer semester.
Students attending another HOPE or Zell Scholarship eligible institution, may also receive those scholarship funds during the summer semester at Georgia Southern University. Students wishing to take a course at Georgia Southern, but attend another institution full time, must request a HOPE/Zell transient form from your home institution. Your institution will then send the form electronically to Georgia Southern. For more information, contact your home institution's financial aid office. Some colleges/universities may require you to complete form at your institution before they will send your information to Georgia Southern.
