LS Placement

We will be placing you in Learning Support courses using the following guidelines:

 English:  EPI score of  4230 or higher: No Learning Support Required  No LS English requirement
 EPI score of  3032-4229: Learning Support Co-Requisite Class Required  ENGL 0999
 EPI score below 3032 must have an offsetting MPI score of 1028 or greater to be admitted
Math For MATH 1111 Placement  MPI score of  1265 or higher: No Learning Support Required  No LS Math requirement
 MPI score of  1095 – 1264: Learning Support Co-Requisite Class Required  MATH 0999
 MPI score of  928 – 1094: Learning Support Foundations Level Required  MATH 0989
 MPI score 927 or below must have an offsetting EPI score of 3905 or greater to be admitted
Math For MATH 1101 Placement:   MPI score of  1165 or higher: No Learning Support Required  No LS Math requirement
 MPI score of  928 – 1164: Learning Support Co-Requisite Class Required  MATH 0998
MPI score 927 or below must have an offsetting EPI score of 3905 or greater to be admitted
 

Fall 2018 Placement 

 Placement
 English:  61 or higher (Reading) and 4 or higher (Writing): No Learning Support Required  No LS English requirement
 40 – 60 (Reading) and 3 (Writing) : Learning Support Co-Requisite Class Required  ENGL 1101 with ENGL 0999
39 or below (Reading) and 2 or lower (Writing) Floor score; not admissible to institution unless math score is 40 or higher
Math For MATH 1111 Placement  79 or higher: No Learning Support Required  No LS Math requirement
 67 – 78: Learning Support Co-Requisite Class Required MATH 1111 w/ MATH 0999 co-req
 66 or below: Learning Support Co-Requisite Class Required MATH 1001 w/ MATH 0997 or
MATH 1101 w/ MATH 0998
Math For MATH 1101/1001 Placement  67 or higher: No Learning Support Required  No LS Math requirement
 66 or below: Learning Support Co-Requisite Class Required MATH 1001 w/ MATH 0997 or
MATH 1101 w/ MATH 0998
 

 

Students who score below the “floor scores” in both mathematics and English may be admitted to USG institutions.  Students who score below the “floor score” in only one area may be admissible if their score in the other area meets or exceed the offsetting score.
