SERMEISS is a professional society for faculty from various disciplines who teach on some aspect of the Middle East and Islamic World. Membership is available in two categories.

Full: For faculty and staff of accredited colleges and universities, and of centers of research, who are actively involved in Middle East and Islamic Studies. Also for pre-collegiate educators with a minimum of three credit hours in Middle East and Islamic Studies. Dues are $15.00 per calendar year.

Associate: For members from outside the region* and for other pre-colleciate educators and invited persons with a professional interest in Middle East and Islamic Studies. Dues are $10.00 per calendar year.
