Choose a Faculty Mentor

How do I get a University Mentor?

This is the easiest part. Your job is to choose your own personal University Mentor. You are encouraged to select a mentor from outside your department. Each mentor has provided the following information to aid in your choice:

  • Name and rank
  • Statement of teaching philosophy
  • Research and/or service interests
  • Hobbies and other activities
  • Faculty homepage link
  • Email address and phone number

After selecting an available mentor from the list, email or call her or him about being your University Mentor. If the relationship is agreeable to you both, YOU'RE A TEAM! Your new mentor will notify the program coordinator of the formation of your team.
