Scholarships & Financial Aid
Studying abroad is affordable! Don’t let program costs keep you from considering a study abroad program. Here are a few tips:
1. Go see the Georgia Southern University Department of Financial Aid (Rosenwald Building). They can help you allocate your financial aid resources for a study abroad program. FAFSA, Pell Grant, Student Loans and HOPE can all be used.
Also please remember to see her well in advance of your program departure…the sooner the better!
2. See our scholarship listings below! There are scholarship opportunities through the Office of International Programs & Services, through the University Honors Program, and through national and international organizations (see below). Applications are judged based on GPA, a statement of intent essay, financial need, program costs, program location, program duration, and a letter of recommendation (if required).
3. Each program (summer or semester) has different costs. Some are less expensive than others, some are more. Costs usually depend on where you’re going, how long you’ll be away, and what amenities are included in the program fee. Contact the Study Abroad Resource Room for more information.
