Housing

Why live on campus?

Because you will:

  • make lots of friends
  • have more opportunities to improve your English
  • pay less than in an apartment
  • get involved in campus activities
  • be located near everything on campus

Where can I live on campus?

There are 9 residence halls (dormitories), but most international students live in Southern Pines. For more information on living on-campus, please visit Housing and for more information on living in Southern Pines, click here.

If you are living on-campus, you can check into your residence hall after 12:00 p.m. on August 11, 2008.

How to Apply for On-Campus Housing?

It is easy for ELP students to apply for on-campus housing. When you complete the ELP application form, you will see that it has a special section about housing. If you want to live on-campus, mark the space beside "I want to live on campus" and answer the simple questions in "Section 1: On-Campus Housing". Finally, you need to include a $200 housing deposit with your ELP application form. The ELP staff will contact the Housing Department and ask them to make a reservation for you.

If you have applied for on-campus housing, you will be able to check-in as early as January 3rd. Please notify us before December 20th of your arrival date so we can get your keys from the Housing office.  If you arrive earlier than January 3rd, you will need to stay in a hotel or make other arrangements.   Make a reservation before your leave your country!

How can I live Off-Campus?

If you want to live off-campus, you can find information on our website at http://students.georgiasouthern.edu/offcampus/HousingHelp.html. If you do not have a place before arriving to Statesboro, plan on staying at a hotel and make a reservation before you leave your country.
