My background is in professors' reflective practice and role development
(Ph.D., Brock University), and I have worked in faculty development for
over twenty years. As Research and Evaluation Consultant at the University
of Waterloo, I facilitate SoTL research; as VP, SoTL for the Society for
Teaching and Learning in Higher Education, I work to push that agenda
to the Canadian national level and beyond. My current research examines
SoTL researcher roles, including challenges and supports for identity
development, and also issues of national ethics policies pertaining to
SoTL work. I hold additional research grants related to faculty development
practices and program evaluation, and am a graduate advisor and teach
part-time in the Masters programme in Education at Brock University.
