I am currently the Dean of the College of Health Sciences and Human Ecology, and the School of Graduate Studies at Bemidji State University. I have doctoral preparation in both Art Education and Instructional Systems and Technology from the University of Minnesota. I am a past chair of the Minnesota Online Council, a Getty Fellow (Dissertation Fellowship from the Getty Center for Arts in Education), and a Fulbright Scholar (2000-2001) focused on distance-learning programs in Iceland. I currently serve as a HLC consultant-evaluator. I consult internationally, am the author of several articles on instructional technology, and present at technology and education conferences. I first appeared in Who's Who in America, 58th edition, 2004 to present and am also listed in Who's Who in the World, in Who's Who in Instructional Technology, and Who's Who in American Women. I was the first recipient of the annual Minnesota Online Council Pioneer Award for leadership in online learning and teaching.
