I completed my Ph.D. in Physics at the University of Georgia. During my Ph.D. program, I specialized in experimental condensed matter physics. After joining the faculty at Georgia Southern University, I developed a strong interest in Physics Education Research. I routinely teach four to five courses each semester and mentor undergraduate students interested in physics education research. During the summer, I enjoy co-teaching workshops for in-service and pre-service teachers with my colleagues in the College of Education. Currently, I am evaluating the implementation of electronic homework, developing and assessing inquiry based lessons for physics instruction, and investigating our Physics Department’s conversion from traditional lecture and laboratory courses to studio physics courses
