I am a development manager working at Central European University in Budapest, Hungary, in the Curriculum Resource Center which is a unit of the university charged with providing professional development programs and opportunities to academics from many countries and universities in Central and Eastern Europe and the former Soviet Union. Currently, I run a pilot project based on course portfolios as a first step to scholarship of teaching and I coordinate my institution’s efforts to further develop our programs in the direction of scholarly teaching and the scholarship of teaching in the framework of the CASTL Institutional Leadership Program. Other than SOTL, my current academic interests are within higher education research and sociology of education, in particular, academic identity in the context of transition.
