AuthorConnie Schroeder I am at the Center for Instructional and Professional Development at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee where I coordinate the SoTL program. I co-teach a course for graduate students preparing for faculty careers, and teach in Adult Leadership on adult learning, distance learning, and the changing professoriate. My research explores institutional change and changing teaching conceptions and practices. I have published on transformation of SoTL scholars, institutional marginalization of SoTL, developing faculty as change agents, and the changing role of faculty development in institutional initiatives. I completed a funded study, Coming in from the Margins: Redefining Faculty Development’s Role in the Institution (PowerPoint), and recently presented Going Meta with SoTL: Research-based Frameworks as the Missing Link between SoTL and Institutional Initiatives and Examining and Defining Pathways to Institutional SoTL Program Maturity and Impact: A Matrix Tool. |
