My interests, education, and work background are diverse, and include a Ph.D. in Curriculum grounded in Cultural Studies from Miami University , Ohio . I am an Assistant Professor of Education and Coordinator of Secondary Education at Southwest Minnesota State University (SMSU), Minnesota , United States . At SMSU, I teach in both undergraduate and graduate programs. Other teaching experiences include K-12 and tertiary in Barbados and the United States . My love of teaching and ability to relate to all students is illuminated by my interdisciplinary Cultural Studies background which fortifies my capacity to problematize educational and other phenomena in constant efforts to find praxis . My research and interests are in multicultural education, SoTL, curriculum theorizing and development, foundations, language studies, ethnic studies, arts and culture, and critical studies.
