Enhancing Student Learning by Maximizing Aspects of Undergraduate Education (pr-2)

It is extremely important that students prepare early for their future graduate degrees or careers. Preparing for the future causes students to reflect on various areas of their curriculum vitae (CV) and ironically, enhancing all areas on their CV seems to indirectly enhance their overall classroom learning experience. Therefore, this presentation's objective is to acquaint session attendees with many necessary aspects of maximizing a student's total undergraduate experience leading to an improved CV, which in turn indirectly affects their learning experience. This session will demonstrate how students can maximize their efforts in areas such as academics, research/scholarship, community/professional/university service, etc. in order to enhance their portfolios and, more importantly, overall learning experience. While seeking audience participation, the presenters will outline various tasks that students should accomplish in order to be competitive in today's job market and demonstrate how completing these specific tasks seems to contribute to an enhanced learning environment.
