The process of conducting SOTL research can be challenging specially when collaborating with other colleagues. We are faced with a myriad of obstacles such as multiple time zones, multi research sites, different IRB policies, and teaching schedules. The opportunity for using an internet-based interactive collaborative tool was presented to one research team when faced with these challenges. The purpose of this session is to describe one research group's experience using a wiki for multisite SOTL research collaboration. Rationale for using a wiki as opposed to other Web 2.0 applications will be discussed. The various components of the wiki will be demonstrated for their application to the collaborative process. The audience will have the opportunity to hear the challenges, opportunities and lessons learned from this group's experience. Participants can expect to leave the session with an understanding of how a wiki can be used to enhance SOTL research.
