Transfer Students
Applying as a Transfer Student
University Honors Program - Students transferring from another college or university should complete this application in addition to applying for admission to Georgia Southern University (be sure to check the University Honors Program box on the first page of the scholarship application). Also, be sure to check the box indicating that you are a transfer student. Visit the Admissions website for other important information regarding the admissions process.
Admission Requirements:
- University level cumulative GPA of 3.3 or above
- Record of academic and co-curricular achievement and community involvement
- Personal interview required for all UHP scholarships
University Honors Program Application Deadline for Transfer Students

To be considered for scholarships, transfer students must apply by
February 1, 2010
Georgia Perimeter College Agreement:
The University Honors Program has an agreement with the Honors Program at Georgia Permiter College (GPC) to admit students who have completed their honors requirements at GPC.
- Students completing the Honors Program Certificate or the Honors Program Degree at GPC and certified as such by the GPC Honors Director, and who are otherwise eligible for admission to Georgia Southern University will gain admission to the University Honors Program.
- An Application to the University Honors Program must be complete prior to the deadlines stated above.
- Students who have completed honors requirements at GPC and have applied by the deadline are eligible to compete for one $1,500 scholarship designated for a GPC honors transfer. (Additional scholarships may be available.)
- All students tranferring from GPC to Georgia Southern Unversity may apply for the University Honors Program, however, only those who have completed the honors requirements at GPC will be guaranteed admission.
