Georgia Southern University is proud to host The Georgia Collegiate Honors Council 30th annual conference. All Honors students invited to submit proposals for this conference. The theme, "Culturing the Pearls of Wisdom," seeks to embrace honors undergraduate research and creative activity in all its forms.

Conference Program

Registration: $40 for students. $50 for faculty and adminstrators.

Call for Proposals

Georgia Southern University is proud to host The Georgia Collegiate Honors Council 30th annual conference. All Honors students invited to submit proposals for this conference. The theme, "Culturing the Pearls of Wisdom," seeks to embrace honors undergraduate research and creative activity in all its forms. Paper proposals, posters, and artwork will be considered.

Proposal Deadline: January 16, 2013

Best Paper and Best Poster Competition

This year continues the Best Paper and Best Poster competition. Cash prizes will be given to the top papers and posters, as determined by GCHC-affiliated faculty, in five categories: Natural Sciences, Humanities, Social Sciences, Fine Arts, and Professional Studies (Health Sciences, Business, etc.).

Submitters who wish to be considered in this competition must upload complete entries in a file by the deadline. First prize in each category will receive $300. Second place in each category will receive $100. (All contest entrants must have also uploaded their proposals through the proposal form as well.) For those submitting papers, the complete paper must be uploaded by the deadline and those submitting posters must submit a pdf file of the poster prior to the deadline. Papers and posters in each category will be judged by GCHC faculty utilizing these rubrics.
