Work-Study Position
First-Year Experience is currently searching for a
work study student assistant, available for Fall 2008.
The position pays $6.55 an hour, and involves mainly
clerical work related to advising (copying, filing,
etc.), answering phones (and therefore lots of
questions!) and occasionally special projects. The
position requires a keen attention to detail and
process, as well as organizational skills, proper phone
etiquette and an appreciation for confidentiality.
We've had good fortune with our student assistants in
the past, and we take pride in writing strong letters of
reference for those who excel.
Customer service skills and knowledge of MS Word and
Excel are helpful.
In order to apply, you must have a Federal Work Study
Authorization Letter from the Financial Aid Department
stating you are work study eligible.
