First-Year Experience

Global Citizens Course

Global Citizens is a one-hour seminar that students will take in the second semester of their first year at the University.  It will replace IDS 2210 (Turning Points and Connections) in Area B of the core curriculum.  A faculty task force met during Spring 2008 to write a course description and learning outcomes for the course.  Full implementation, initially scheduled for Spring 2010, is now on hold pending the current budget situation.  Pilot sections have been offered in Fall 2008, Spring 2009, Fall 2009 and will be offered in 2010.  The following links provide additional detail.
