Why can’t I login to the appointment system?

If you continue to have trouble, please contact FYE at 912-GSU-FYEX (478-3939).

How can I change my appointment time?
Simply log in to the system using your Eagle ID for your login and password.  You can see all existing appointments on the bottom of the right side of the screen.  Click on the cancel appointment link.  You may then access the calendar to select another day and time for your appointment.

How long will my advising appointment be?
Students are presented with advising options based on several criteria, including start term, number of credit hours and other factors.  Depending on your status, you will have one of three appointment types.

The system is automatically set to provide you the correct advisement schedule options. 

If I’ve declared my major this semester, can I still use this site to schedule my appointment?
No, you must contact your new advisement center or academic advisor to schedule your appointment.  Many of the other college centers are using this software, however the systems are not linked, and you will need to get login information from your new advisement center in order to access their appointments during Fall semester.

What do I need to bring with me to my advisement appointment?
Bring your advising records, any ideas you have for courses you may wish to take in Spring or Summer and a list of questions you have for your advisor.  If you came to SOAR in 2009, bring your SOAR binder with you; it has a place to keep advisement records.  If you are taking FYE 1220 this semester, bring with you your completed “Academic Planning  Assignment” found in the "Your Academic Future" module in GeorgiaView (or by clicking here).
