Smart Classroom Planning

Need help to determine what technology infrastructure should go into your building or classrooms? We can help.

New construction and renovation - Our expertise in designing effective Smart facilities will contribute to all current and future construction projects where facilities are being renovated or newly constructed. This will ensure that facilities are built with Smart design and capable of cost effective upgrades in the future. This includes sitting on building construction committees, developing future-proof standards for installation, and calculating the cost of facilities at the planning phase so they are more likely not to be removed during the funding cycle.

Consultation and Recommendations - We'd love to help you design your Smart facility. If you are looking at equipping a room, let us know and we can help with the process from start to finish. We'll assure you of the maximum effectiveness with the minimal price.

Smart Classroom Training

Functional Training - Training is always an important aspect of technology, and we believe that with the proper training, using a Smart facility can be seemless for all faculty and staff who encounter one. By using a standard set of equipment, our goal is that every room on campus look and function like any other. To that end, we offer online self-paced demonstrations, and face to face workshops.

Online Tutorials: Using the Crestron Touch Panel - The touch panel controls the projector and sources in the rooms. It typically is the only device you'll need to know how to use.

Face to face training: If you'd like face to face training in your classroom, please call (912) 478-0882 or email stephr@georgiasouthern.edu

Please see the Smart Classroom Inventory to determine what other equipment or special setup you may need training for.

Pedagogy Training - In addition to learning what button to push when, we'd also like faculty to be able to make informed decisions about why they should use a particular piece of equipment and how to incorporate it effectively into their classroom lectures. The Center for Excellence in Teaching offers courses on effective classroom managment.
