Mandatory Student Health Insurance 2015-2016

Benefits and premiums are subject to change.


The University System of Georgia requires all F and J student visa holders to purchase student health insurance through United Healthcare. The appropriate premium will automatically be charged to your Georgia Southern bill every Fall and Spring semester. Please see the list of insurance fees below.

Benefits include physician, hospital, surgical, pharmacy, behavioral health services (i.e., mental health/substance abuse), as well as legally mandated benefits. Dental and Vision coverage is not included but is available for purchase separately.

You may be able to have Georgia Southern’s mandatory health insurance waived. Complete the waiver form at https://www.uhcsr.com/georgiasouthern to request a wavier.
