Awards
The
Faculty Development Committee is pleased to announce the availability
of four types of funding in support of faculty development
activities by faculty members. Funded by the University, the
programs are designed to provide time and resources for enhancement
of the teaching-learning process with emphasis directed toward
classroom instruction.
-
Full-time faculty members are eligible
-
The
applicant should not refer to a co-presenter or other
potential beneficiary of funding by name. It is
the applicant's responsibility to maintain confidentiality.
-
Recipients
of awards are not eligible for awards within the same
category the following year.
No member of the Faculty Development Committee may receive
a faculty development award or an Award for Excellence in
Instruction while he or she serves on the committee.
Nor may he or she nominate someone for the award or write
a letter of recommendation for a nominee for the award during
this term of service.
Please
note that the receipt of any award used for the development
of creative and scholarly works and new materials, devices,
processes, or other inventions which may have commercial potential
is governed by the Georgia Southern University Intellectual
Property Policy. University personnel are required to provide
the Provost with a project disclosure on forms provided by
the Office of Research Services and Sponsored Programs. The
