Intensive Programs and Multi-Session Workshop Series offer the opportunity for in-depth exploration and development of topics related to effective, student-centered teaching and learning.
Teaching and Learning Essentials for Higher Education
This seminar focuses on providing a foundational understanding of strategies and approaches that support student learning at the college level. You will have the opportunity to discuss teaching related questions with colleagues from CT2 and a variety of disciplines on campus. You are an expert in your content area, learn how to be an expert teacher too!
CTL’s Teaching Academy provides an opportunity to read, discuss, and reflect on research-based principles of student learning in the context of your own teaching. Based on the book How Learning Works we will engage in a series of activities that can support you in cultivating a reflective approach to teaching and identify ways to refine your own pedagogical practice.
Blended Course Design Institute
During this intensive seminar, participants will use research-based principles to (re)design a course with significant online components. The seminar provides a collegial work environment where participants can receive feedback and support from colleagues at the CT2 and in other disciplines while being guided through the design of course components.
*Please note that all spring 2018 intensive programs will be hosted on the Statesboro campus.
