Certificate: Teaching Toolbox

Program Description

This certificate is meant to build a firm foundation in a variety of research-based pedagogical tools. Teaching Toolbox workshops fall into three broad pedagogical categories: creating engaged learners, active teaching and learning, and scholarship of teaching and learning. To see all our Teaching Toolbox workshops, visit our events page and look for events entitled “Teaching Toolbox.”

Learning Goals

Upon completion of this certificate, you will be able to:

  • Identify research-based pedagogical tools and strategies
  • Select appropriate tools and strategies for specific teaching contexts
  • Assess the effectiveness of tools and strategies applied through capstone reflection

Requirements

  • Attend and participate in 4 Teaching Toolbox Wokshops
  • Complete and submit all end-of-session action plans
  • Complete and submit a capstone reflection that considers what tools and strategies you’ve implemented from you action plan
