Introduction

 

Instructors who teach a course that supports an online degree must meet certain competencies. These competencies can be met through training at the Center for Online Leaching.

    1. General Course Design Principles
      1. Completes needs assessment for course
      2. Must demonstrate knowledge of Bloom's Taxonomy
        1. to state learning objectives
        2. to identify a teaching/learning strategy
        3. to identify an assessment strategy

      1. View demo course
      2. Develop a welcome page
      3. Start Here module
        1. Develop an overview page
        2. Edit course structure doucment if needed
        3. Develop a course schedule based on template
        4. Edit the communication rules document if needed
        5. Edit technology requirements document if needed
        6. Edit student introductions document if needed
        7. Develop questions for the survey about you student survey if needed
        8. Develop questions for the quiz on start here module if needed
        9. Adopt the use of module evaluation for some or all of the learning modules
        10. Develop other pages for this module per need for course

      6. Follows guidelines for assignments
