How can I prevent losing answers on quizzes if my computer crashes?
The most effective way to manage quizzes is to use the "Save Answer" button after each question. This ensures that you will only lose at most one answer if something goes wrong.
How do I display my picture for my classmates?
Use the My Settings screen to modify your profile and add your picture. Make sure you have the "Public" box checked.
My courses are not showing up on my Course List.
- If you have just registered for the course, you must wait between 24-48 hours before the course will show up.

Click the pencil icon to the right of your Course List and make sure the course is not Hidden.
I'm Getting the Error message "Error: Session Already Running"
- This usally occurs when you have another window or tab open. Close all browser windows and start over.
The Course Menu is showing only icons.
- Click the Expand/Collapse button (the two lines and arrow) directly to the right of the menu.
I type a reply to a Discussion or Mail message and I get kicked out and lose my message.
Whenever you are composing a lengthy message, it is recommended that you type it in MS Word or some other text-based program so that you can save the response periodically. You can then copy/paste the text into GaVIEW, so if a timeout or shutdown occurs, you don't lose your work.
I can’t see my grades.
- Make sure you click the My Grades option in the My Tools area of the Course Menu.
- This many times can occur if your instructor has not released the grade.
GeorgiaVIEW is not showing up when I log into My.georgiasouthern.edu.

How can I manage files that I have attached to Assignments or other messages?
- From the My.GeorgiaVIEW screen, click on the Content Management tab to manage your "My Files" area.

What is the maximum file size I can upload or use in GeorgiaVIEW for files?
- The maximum storage space you have is 200 MB, which is the largest file size you can upload also.
