Before you begin: Important Information
There are several items that are important for you to know as you begin your journey into GeorgiaVIEW. Please make note of the following items as your proceed.
Logistical Information
- All courses will be loaded based on Banner information for each faculty member, whether you plan on using GeorgiaVIEW or not for your courses. If you have a course listed you are no longer teaching, contact Support to have it removed.
- Access to GeorgiaVIEW is controlled through My.Georgiasouthern. (If you cannot yet access My.Georgiasouthern, then you cannot access GeorgiaVIEW - please contact Support if you have any questions.)
- Faculty can access courses approximately 8 weeks before each term, and students can access courses 1 week before each term.
First Time Users
- Start with our online tutorials. These will get you up and going quickly.
- Start small. Perhaps getting a syllabus and some lecture notes loaded is a good first step. Then begin integrating communication and assessment as you feel comfortable with the tool.
- Attend some training. Although we offer all the online tutorials you need, we do offer face to face sessions throughout the year.
- Join the GaVIEW-L Listserv. This is an important information conduit if you use GeorgiaVIEW, so please request access by emailing col@georgiasouthern.edu if you would like to join.
