Lightroom: A Primer

Lightroom is a straightforward photo editor and a complement to Photoshop and Photoshop Elements. This workshop will introduce the important functions of the program, and expose the participant to more advanced features.

Russ Wigh had been a 35mm film photographer since 1972; he went digital in 2006. Along the way were forays into medium format, and building a black and white darkroom into his Atlanta home. His formal training includes classes on the zone system at Southeastern School of Photography. Since moving to Savannah in 2001, he has done an introductory class for Armstrong’s Continuing Education Program, won a state-wide photography contest, and has recently had a one man show of his work at The Landings in Savannah. Some of his images hang in both private homes and offices. Russ’ current interests include high-speed bird photography with multiple flash, a return to black and white, both film and digital, and dabbling in street photography. Rarely does he leave the house without at least one camera in the vehicle. His teaching skills include 7 years teaching economics and accounting in SCAD’s Liberal Arts Department.
